About Us
We're an informal group of Minnesotans with an interest in helping to keep a small section of MN highway clean. What we also have in common is that most of us have a permit to carry a firearm in the State of Minnesota or at least in interest in helping to ensure that the right to carry a firearm in MN is retained.
Minnesota has about 67000 carry permit holders as of September 2009 and is adding about 1000 permit holders net a month. MADFI maintains a counter that is updated from time to time.
;The group that participated in the first Adopt a Highway cleanup is just a handful of this 67000 that happened to have had a cool rainy sunday in late October free to help out. Many of this group participate on the forums The Carry Forum and MN Gun Talk. We don't claim to represent the viewpoints of ALL permit holders. But we highly value our Second Amendment rights and our state's carry law and want only to help the general public understand that we are among them, we are normal folks, and that carrying a firearm for self defense is a very ordinary activity.
